Addressing the Dropout Crisis:
Attendance Law Reform: An Important First Step

Recently Senator Miguel del Valle filed School Attendance Law Reform Bill SB2115, an "At-risk and Dropout Youth Accountability and Recovery Act." This is an important first step in addressing the dropout problem statewide through targeted administrative changes to the State School Code. We welcome and encourage discussion on SB2115 and the concept/issues behind it. Comments will be posted below.
