Woodworking and Solid Surface Manufacturing Training Program

The Woodworking and Solid Surface Manufacturing Training Program is a state-certified and  nationally accredited vocational training program that prepares participants for a wide range of skilled occupations in the wood products and solid surface manufacturing industry. Since 1993, the program has graduated 589 trainees and has placed approximately 513 of its program graduates in full-time, training-related, non-subsidized employment.

Created as a Community-Business Partnership the program seeks to meet the employment needs of low-income community residents and dislocated workers while developing a skilled workforce for the local woodworking industry.
